We received a plea from the Tafi-Mador community last year to build a library and computer lab in the town’s elementary/junior high school. We were touched by the school’s hunger for education and IT literacy, so we answered their plea with wall to wall books and brand new computers filled with educational software for all ages.
One of the finest moments I’ve experienced in all my years in Ghana was the inauguration of our ninth library and computer lab that opened to an emotional and grateful Tafi Mador community in November 2023 thanks to the immense generosity of Tom and Ellen Jones. We watched mothers just as excited as the students to experience the story books, text books, computers and learning software never seen before.
