It was Hope for Ghana’s shining moment, delivering the promise of hope, opportunity and the chance to dream big. It was a surreal day of celebration with flags flying in the village of Klokpe, as Hope for Ghana’s fourth school, Maureen’s School of Hope, officially opened to a jubilant crowd that included a King, Chiefs, community dignitaries and a grateful community.
Our largest project to date provides 11 classrooms that will serve kindergarteners through 9th graders, a library and computer lab, a water borehole and purification machine, and toilets. Solar power lights up the school thanks to the immense generosity of Brother’s Brother Foundation, ensuring that this life-changing project comes at no cost to the community. Sustainability at its best!
Our Mobile Medical Outreach initiative was launched, thanks to the commitment of Dr. Joel Duah and the wonderful generosity of the Patti family and Katzenstein family. Our “poor man’s version” of a mobile medical van ensures medical outreach teams can reach the most remote Ghanaian communities that are in dire need of medical care.
We launched work on our eleventh library and computer lab. And the promise of a new school this summer came to the Northern Region, as Hope for Ghana gets ready to bring hope and opportunity to new regions throughout Ghana.
Hope for Ghana continued to give the gift of life, providing access to clean, potable water to 7 more villages who had been drinking dirty water, including the community of Mepe that suffered enormous devastation due to recent floods, thanks to the amazing benevolence of Ingomar Church, Grace Life Church, Zach Kay and Nick Williamson. There are no words to describe the immense joy as villagers drink clean water for the first time.
Hope and opportunity have no limits. Our mission continues to reach new heights thanks to you, forever transforming lives in Ghana’s most vulnerable communities. Ghana, it’s your time to dream big!
