This is Godsway, the most hard-working and motivated young man you’ll ever meet. Never educated a day in school, he is starving for a future. The son of uneducated parents who are subsistence farmers, Godsway has never been given an opportunity to create a future, and is part of a cycle of poverty that is so prevalent in villages throughout Ghana.
When I met Godsway over a year ago as part of the communal labor that was so vital in building Hope for Ghana’s second school, it was apparent that all Godsway needed in life was an opportunity for a future. Impressed by the amazing potential of this 18 year old man, I promised Godsway a way to fulfill his dream of becoming a mason.
Hope for Ghana has sponsored a 3-year apprenticeship for Godsway, providing mentorship from Master mason, Samuel Agbanyo. In 3 years Godsway will be a Master mason, able to abundantly provide for himself and his family.
It costs only $750 to sponsor an apprenticeship! That includes all 3 years of apprenticeship, tools of the trade, uniforms, graduation fees and a graduation party including provision of soft drinks and a goat. Yes, you read that correctly!
Thank you so much to Hope for Ghana’s generous donors who have sponsored 40 apprenticeships for young men and women who will now be able to create a future for themselves as masons, seamstresses, tailors, carpenters, electricians, hair dressers, welders and tilers.
Join Hope for Ghana in creating hope and a “tomorrow” for young men and women throughout Ghana who simply need opportunity. You will change the lives of young men and women forever. One life at a time.
