2019 was an inspirational year that took Hope for Ghana to another level thanks to amazing donors who believe in this mission. The highlights of 2019 are numerous but most importantly saw the building of Hope for Ghana’s second school which will be completed in the next few months, and providing access to clean, potable water in 3 more villages.
It ended joyously with a personal visit and future collaboration with Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States, and the joy of Hope for Ghana’s First Annual Christmas Celebration in 3 villages.
2020 promises even brighter things ahead for Hope for Ghana, bringing the gifts of hope, opportunity and life to the most remote villages in Ghana.
Hope for Ghana will proudly honor my friend and mentor, Christian Platini Ashiagbor, in March 2020 when Platini’s School of Hope is completed and inaugurated in the village of Kpevenu. A humanitarian, a child rights advocate who believed in the potential of every child, Platini was the bedrock of my work in Ghana for many years, bringing Hope for Ghana to the level it has reached in Africa, guiding me, and building the team that still faithfully works with me. Platini left this world much too early but leaves behind a legacy of improving the human condition.
I remain grateful for the hundreds of people that have inspired, guided and encouraged me along the way. I am blessed to be the messenger of your generosity and good will, and I thank you for transforming the lives of children and families in the villages of Ghana.
Happy new year!
