The promise of hope and opportunity spread throughout Ghana as Hope for Ghana continued to bring education, clean water and medical relief across 4 regions during my recent nearly 7-week journey.
Our 11th library and computer lab in memory of one of my dearest patients, The Tyler Ball Library, opened to an emotional and grateful community, thanks to the incredible benevolence of Brother’s Brother Foundation. Hundreds of students will experience storybooks, textbooks, computers and learning software never seen before.
Our Mobile Medical Outreach initiative celebrated the inauguration of our third mobile medical vehicle. Our “poor man’s version” of a mobile medical van ensures medical outreach to the most remote Ghanaian communities in dire need of medical care. A community outreach inaugurating our new vehicle in Bono East provided National Health Insurance for 500 people and health screenings, counseling and medications for over 700 people.
Groundbreaking for our fifth school in the village of Glisiya began our adventure in the Northern Region where we will build 2 schools in the next couple of years. And the promise of our biggest library project came to 1500 students as we get ready to launch the next library and computer lab for a cluster of 3 elementary and junior high schools.
Hope for Ghana continued to give the gift of life, providing access to clean, potable water to 11 more villages who had been drinking dirty water, thanks to the beautiful generosity of Ingomar Living Waters, Grace Life Church and Franklin Regional High School. The immense jubilation as villagers drink clean water for the first time is priceless.
The story spreading throughout Ghana is a powerful and beautiful story of hope, gratitude and possibilities thanks to you, transforming lives of Ghanaians for generations to come. One village at a time.
