I am so proud to share some amazing video and pictures of my recent journey in Ghana last month. Hope for Ghana began its most adventurous project as we began building our third school in the village of Sesime that will provide a kindergarten and primary school with 7 classrooms, library, staff room, access to clean water, solar power, bathrooms and a sewage system. In a community starving for hope and opportunity, this new school is expected to attract 200-300 children. I get emotional watching the video below, humbled by the astounding progress in such a short amount of time, thanks to the tireless efforts of Hope for Ghana’s dedicated and loyal team of masons and carpenters that have worked by my side for the last 7 years and dedicated communal labor.
7 more villages were given the gift of clean, potable water so that women and children no longer spend long hours fetching filthy water. The overwhelming joy as a village receives this gift is unimaginable. The video below from the village of Klokpe is what gratitude is all about.
Apprentice sponsorships were given to 4 more men and women who will now have the opportunity to receive the vocational skills necessary to become a welder, tailor, seamstress and floral decorator.
The hope and joy that I am blessed to witness in Ghana is beyond words. These videos and pictures will give you a taste of the beauty seen every day in Ghana. These are the pictures of hope that you have provided. Our journey is just beginning. A grateful Ghanaian people say thank you.
