I will be flying to Ghana tomorrow for a 5 week journey that promises another thrilling chapter for Hope for Ghana, filled with possibilities and full of dreams. A vision created nearly 12 years ago is reaching incredibly new heights because every one of you has allowed Hope for Ghana to dream big.
In the next few weeks, Hope for Ghana’s third school, Lawrence’s School of Hope, will be completed and inaugurated. An 8 classroom elementary school, with library and computer lab, water and reverse osmosis machine, and solar power, is the culmination of immense love, hard work and philanthropy. From foundations to donors around the world, each of you is bringing education to the beautiful children in Sesime.
Our water projects are about to reach new heights, and will bring sustainability to a new level in villages that have never tasted clean water. Two villages where we recently drilled only to find undrinkable water will be given a reverse osmosis machine for water purification, and solar power to provide their water and electricity at no cost. In a recent inauguration of a water project, Senyo so beautifully said, “May clean water flow and may it never cease.” This is the gift of life.
A second medical shipment from Brother’s Brother Foundation is about to set sail to Ghana, sending maternity delivery tables, hospital beds, exam tables and surgical trays to hospitals in desperate need. Many more young men and women are about to receive apprentice sponsorships and have the chance to learn vocational skills, creating a future for themselves as masons, seamstresses, tailors, carpenters, electricians, hair dressers, welders and tilers.
It’s overwhelming to see the love and opportunity surrounding Hope for Ghana. Together we do life saving, impactful work for the most vulnerable among us. Together we dream big. Ghana, get ready!
