With a wonderful sense of excitement and anticipation I get ready to return to Ghana in 2 days to begin Hope for Ghana’s most adventurous project to date. After opening our second school only 2 months ago, Hope for Ghana will begin building its third and largest school for children in the village of Sesime, providing a beautiful kindergarten and primary school with 7 classrooms, a library, staff room, new access to clean water, solar power, bathrooms and a sewage system. In a community starving for hope and opportunity, this new school is expected to attract 200-300 children.
The love and philanthropy of our donors will provide clean, potable water to 7 more villages so that women and children will no longer have to walk long distances for dirty, muddy water, and thousands of people will no longer suffer from water-borne disease. Hope for Ghana is excited to provide more apprentice sponsorships for young men and women seeking vocational training to provide a career.
I can’t wait to share over 250 pounds of clothes, shoes, book bags, bibles, soccer balls and many other surprises thanks to the immense generosity of the Pittsburgh community. Join me on Facebook and Instagram and share this joyous journey in real time.
A new chapter in Ghana is about to begin.
