After an emotional inauguration of our second school last month, I am thrilled to announce that Hope for Ghana will begin building its third school in October 2021 when I return to Ghana in 3 weeks. Children in the remote village of Sesime who previously learned under a tree and a temporary shed will now be provided a beautiful, modern kindergarten and primary school with 7 classrooms, a library, running water, solar power, toilets and a sewage system. Hope for Ghana’s most adventurous project to date will create a one-of-a-kind model school in a community desperate for a proper education for their children.
Last month Senyo, Ground Operations Assistant, and I collaborated with Member of Parliament Hon. Bernard Ahiafor, the Director of Education and a local Assemblyman in carefully selecting a village starving for the chance to learn. Sesime was an easy choice, and we had every reason to celebrate with the beautiful, jubilant people in this village.
Hope for Ghana continues to rewrite history. One village at a time. Together let us change the village of Sesime forever and bring hope and opportunity to their children for generations to come.
