2021 was the “year of return” for my journey in Ghana, filled with immense emotion after a long hiatus due to the pandemic. The trips to Ghana seem more exhausting than ever, but all the more exhilarating. There are more visible needs at every turn, but certainly no shortage of impact and reward.
Hope for Ghana proudly began the huge adventure of building its third school. We continue to provide apprentice sponsorships for young men and women who can learn a trade to create their future. Our recent Widows and Orphans program and our upcoming Christmas celebration for 2000 people round out our biggest year ever.
In 2021 Hope for Ghana provided clean, potable water to 16 more villages in dire need so that woman and children no longer have to fetch long distances only to find muddy water. Ghana’s water crisis is overwhelming as seen in the video below. Providing the gift of life to now 32 villages has been the pinnacle of Hope for Ghana’s mission, and received with overwhelming and abundant gratitude.
The story emerging in Ghana is a powerful and beautiful story of hope and gratitude. It is truly the story of thanksgiving. Together we are bringing life to some of the most remote villages on this earth. We can change the story in the villages of Ghana.
I pray that our world is filled with light and peace, and that you and your family have a joyous Thanksgiving.
