After a beautiful five-and-a-half-week journey in Ghana, I’ve returned with so much to celebrate. As we continue to impact lives in Ghana with hope and joy, every day feels like Thanksgiving.
In the Northern Region we began the foundation of our fifth school in partnership with Benjamin Benefit Foundation, a project that will soon bring the gift of education to hundreds of children. At our third school that opened last year, we added a junior high school, raising enrollment to over 300 students. Our fourth school, Maureen’s School of Hope, has already seen enrollment double to more than 250 students. Where grassroots vision meets real needs on the ground, we created a feeding program at our first school, Mason’s School of Hope, in partnership with the local community of farmers, ensuring students receive nutritious meals each day.
We proudly opened our twelfth and largest library and computer lab for 1500 grateful students, thanks to the immense generosity of Brother’s Brother Foundation. We created a space that promises to transform learning and open new opportunities for students as they experience story books, text books, computers and learning software never seen before.
We continue to provide access to clean, potable water, reaching several more villages across the Volta and Eastern Regions. Through a generous pharmaceutical donation from Brother’s Brother Foundation, our Mobile Medical Outreach initiative will bring desperately needed medicines to some of the most underserved villages.
The story emerging in Ghana is a powerful and beautiful story of hope and gratitude. It is truly the story of thanksgiving. As the vision of Hope for Ghana spreads throughout Ghana, every life we have impacted together is a reminder of how much we have to be thankful for. Have a joyous and healthy Thanksgiving!
