The Third Annual Hope for Ghana Charity Golf Outing was a day of celebration as over 150 people from 7 countries poured into Westwood Golf Club on Saturday. A perfect day with blue skies and sunshine was made more perfect with the elegance and energy of Emmy Award winning WTAE news anchor, Kelly Sasso, who brought Hope for Ghana’s event to a new level.
The beautiful music of harpist, Samara Egan, filled the ballroom, while live painter, Cody Sabol, mesmerized the audience with his 12 minute finger painting of JuJu. Speeches from dear friends, Pastor Lawrence Owoputi, Emmanuel George, Moussa Coulibaly and Chip Baldwin gave personal perspectives into the impact of Hope for Ghana’s mission.
The emotional highlight of the evening was a video celebrating Hope for Ghana’s work in the remote villages of Ghana, including its first school that is thriving in the village of Gakpokorpe, and the first phase of Hope for Ghana’s second school. Thanks to an outpouring of support from guests, sponsors and donors, Hope for Ghana’s charity event was an enormous success, raising $30,000. To everyone who was a part of this magnificent day I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing this journey with me and truly transforming the lives of Ghanaian children and families forever.
