Water is life! The joy and celebration was overwhelming in the village of Wetsikorpe as Hope for Ghana continues its mission to provide access to clean, potable water to villages in dire need. The immense generosity of Hope for Ghana’s donors is transforming the lives of Ghanaian children, families and communities forever.
While working remotely over the last several months with Senyo, Hope for Ghana’s Ground Operations Assistant, and our water engineer, Hope for Ghana’s commitment to provide clean water continues even in the midst of a pandemic. Villages where women and children have had to walk miles to fetch dirty water from a river dam no longer share water with animals, bringing dignity to communities and significantly reducing water-borne disease.
Thanks to philanthropy from Living Word Christian Church (Newburgh, Indiana), Grace Life Church, Rose Transportation, Upcode Studios, Zach and Rebecca Lewis, Jeremy and Kaylee Klingensmith, Jack and Marge Ednie, Joe and Mary Belechak, Tammy and Damon Oliver, and donors all around the world, Hope for Ghana will continue to bring its life saving mission to villages throughout Ghana.
The video below of the water crisis in Ghana and the village of Wetsikorpe receiving clean water for the first time this summer is heartwarming. It is the picture of joy and hope. Every donor to Hope for Ghana shares in this miraculous gift of water, and for that I am forever grateful.
