My recent journey in Ghana, with an ambitious 3+ week agenda, was exhilarating, challenging and filled with joy and hope.
While work continues on Hope for Ghana’s third school, the school’s Library and Computer Lab was created and inaugurated. Proudly named “Senyo’s Library,” recognizing Senyo’s loyalty, faithfulness, humility, incredible work ethic, and his service to Mother Ghana, the library was filled with over 2000 books.
Thanks to an extraordinary partnership with Brother’s Brother Foundation a computer lab was provided, with over 50 learning programs installed for children of all ages. Thanks to Brother’s Brother Foundation for their immense love, generosity and belief in our vision.
In the same week, Hope for Ghana was thrilled to bring a computer lab to our first school’s library. Thanks to the immense generosity of Gus and Lisa Kellermann, children are now learning with new computers in Matt Kellermann’s Computer Lab.
Hope for Ghana continued to provide the gift of clean, potable water to villages formerly fetching dirty water, and several more villages were selected to receive this gift of life in the days ahead.
6 young women began their long anticipated journey to become seamstresses as part of Hope for Ghana’s Apprentice Sponsorship program, and one young man began his 3 year training to become an auto electrician.
As I write, Brother’s Brother Foundation’s medical supplies shipment has set sail and will be landing at Ghana’s port in just a few weeks.
The hope and joy in Ghana is abundant in Ghana. Thank you for sharing in this life-saving mission and together bringing opportunity to Ghana’s most vulnerable communities. One village at a time.
