12 days in Ghana felt like a lifetime, filled with abundant gratitude for the long awaited return to Ghana to see the friends and family that make Ghana my home. It was the thrilling adventure I had hoped it would be, feeling like I had never left a year and a half ago.
I have been blessed to step back on Ghanaian soil as Hope for Ghana began the final phase of work on its second school, revisited its first school, provided more clean water to villages in dire need, created exciting ideas for future projects, all while delivering 450 pounds of donations from Pittsburgh to the beautiful people of Ghana.
Life’s journey throws you a curve ball sometimes. Although I was supposed to stay in Ghana 2 more weeks, I emergently flew home two days ago due to a retinal detachment requiring immediate surgery. I know that everything happens for a reason. Ghana, I promise I will be back very soon!
These videos give you a glimpse into the joy that I experience every day in Ghana. Enjoy them, and thank you always for joining me on this life changing journey.
